Today I shall unleash photos that I’ve taken over the past couple of weeks. I’m quite sad that I’ve lost my photographic streak since coming here because it’s been all work and no play for this dull boy, I’m afraid. Work, even work that you’re passionate about, is drudgery. Always.
Perhaps I don’t fancy the concept of work. But I do enjoy what my work lets me do. The events I’ve attended were pretty awesome, and one of them even gave me a 1:50 scale diecast model helicopter, which I thought was great, although such gifts for press rarely come by.
I have to say though that I love my weekends. Weekends mean rest, and rest is such a commodity. You may even say I work as hard as I just to get to the weekends. But anyway, I digress. Pictures!
At the dog track in Macau! It was a pretty interesting experience, although I didn’t enjoy it fully considering I was there pretty much in the name of work.
Nice Catholic church in Macau. Don’t know the name of it though, and we didn’t spend much time there.
This is St Paul’s ruins. To be honest, I had never heard about it before. I hardly knew anything about Macau except Portuguese egg tarts. It was quite a nice place I guess, but there were too many people around. But it was the Easter holiday so expected lah.
This creepy, dark alleyway is where people parked their motorcycles (as you can see). It took me a while to get the shot to look the way I wanted it though, and I still don’t think I’ve quite got it right. But I’m too lazy to properly PP it. Ah, maybe later.
Back to Hongkong! Today I went down to IFC Mall to get some stuff and walk around and when I was about to leave, I saw this jazz band playing. They were pretty entertaining and I haven’t heard live jazz in quite a while so I stopped to enjoy the music, and of course take some pictures.
This picture was taken just before I left. As you can see there’s quite a crowd there, but I was one of the first few to stop by and take a look. It was really great!
Oh! And before I forget, here’s the latest member of the Jotwein toy family. Meet HiPhone!
This is the official announcement ‘cos I really got it like, the Monday after I got back from Macau. So here’s the first picture of HiPhone after having it for a couple of weeks. I have to say that I’m really really enjoying the Apple iPhone. I had a little bit of trouble initially, but it all worked out in the end. I’m a full on Apple supporter now. I will damn-near buy anything they make. Well, almost anyway.
Anyhoo, I really ought to go. I can’t sleep too late these days. It’s kinda terrible, but no choice. If I don’t sleep early I won’t wake up in time for work. And that’s always bad. *Gasp* I can’t believe I just wrote that. SOMEBODY SAVE ME.
Bye from me with shorter hair! Just another of the changes that I’ve experienced the past month over here. I think I’m gonna stick with shorter hair for a while.
