This sleep pattern’s gonna kill me.

Okay so I know I haven’t really been blogging since I set this place up and I’m sorry to those who check regularly to see if I’ve updated only to find I haven’t (namely Jesley Zheng). If there are more of you who do that, I’m sorry to you too.

Anyway, loads have happened since the last time I posted on the second day of school. Basically it’s 1.37AM on Sunday the 19th of October 2008 (yes I checked a calendar for that) and we’ve just been through our first week of school. Let’s recap.

It’s really been an interesting experience getting through the first week of school. As suggested in my post title, my sleep patterns really are way off. Mostly because of the fact that I have training 4 times a week and we usually sit and talk nonsense at KAP until pretty late. So the norm is I get home at around 12 which means I sleep earliest at 1 in the morning. Considering Monday through Wednesday starts at 9AM, that’s a pretty stupid thing to do.

But considering I really don’t have to wake up early tomorrow, I can still tolerate posting at this late hour. Anyway Jes complains I don’t post enough. (Sorry Jes!)

So where do I begin? Classes on the whole were pretty alright for the first week. I’m hoping it’ll continue in this lovely pattern for many more weeks to come, or well the rest of the semester does fine too.

I’ve also somewhat started freelancing for npTribune this week. Met with the editor, Xian Jie on Thursday before TV Prod class. Quite a nice chap from what I can see and what I’ve been told, so it should be a blast writing for the paper. I’ve more or less got my direction locked on journ anyway (as most of you probably know by now).

I also had a meeting with this American lecturer from BA named Taylor Michael Maltz. He emailed the club about a week or so ago asking if we needed some help with the club. With the club being in the state it is, naturally we agreed. It was a pretty cool meet up session and I’m most certain we’ll have a very fruitful time together.

The highlight of the week though, came during the day just past, Saturday. Katie has undergone some major surgery, but all is well and she’s recouperating just fine (in fact fully recovered and fully functional). Basically take a look at the pictures below and it’s pretty easy to understand what I did (it was for her own good!).

There you have it folks, I’ve upgraded Katie to 4GB RAM and 320GB HDD. Although admittedly I think the amount of time my battery can last may be shortened because of the high capacity of the hard drive. But it seems to be holding up pretty alright thus far, so I’m pretty pleased with the whole process.

Anyway, I shall post another post later on today (in the afternoon or maybe in the evening). I think I shall put up more photos instead so it doesn’t seem like a whole chunk of words. And probably post more regularly so at least it doesn’t come out in one big, boring chunk at the end of the week. For those who have made it this far in the post without lulling off into a deep, deep sleep, congratulations! For those who have simply skimmed through to the very end, shame on you! But thanks for reading anyway!
